you are the niche (become nicheless)
the most profitable niche is you.
if you’re a creator, you’ve probably heard the same advice on repeat: niche down, find your target audience, stick to what works. but if you’re reading this, i’m guessing that advice never felt right.
it didn’t with me either.
for me, it started with music as a kid. that’s where I first felt creative-where I actually felt like myself. but eventually, i was told to choose something safer.
so i went into wealth management, ended up managing a $10 million portfolio, and tried to convince myself that was success.
then my dad got COVID. i remember my mom crying on the other end of the phone. i dropped everything and started helping my family full time.
none of it felt right.
i’ve always been creative, always wanted to build and create businesses online. that’s when I started learning web design and digital marketing.
what I wanted, and what I think most creators want, is to build an authentic personal brand - not just a business, but something honest-something that actually reflects who you are.
over time, I realized the foundation of that is simple: vision, problems, projects, priority tasks and storytelling.
vision is about what matters to you and what you want for your life, even if it’s just a rough outline right now. you don’t need all the answers-just enough clarity to know what direction feels right. once you have that minimum viable vision, understand what problems are holding you back the most at this moment.
most problems show up in the same four areas: mind, body, relationships, and business. if you’re stuck, start by looking at which of these domains is holding you back. start with the most pressing problems holding you back from achieving your vision. get intentional about solving them. the faster you identify and tackle your most pressing problems, the faster you move toward your vision.
you solve your problems by turning them into projects — temporary quests you take on to overcome what’s in your way. a project is just a focused container for your effort, a clear “this is what I’m working on right now” and even if you can’t complete a project, showing up for priority tasks keeps your momentum alive.
your priority tasks are the daily actions that actually move you forward. when you approach your work this way, your vision becomes something real, something you can build piece by piece, one small action at a time.
storytelling is what ties everything together.
your vision, the problems you face, your projects, and the way you solve them-they’re all part of your story.
but storytelling isn’t about pretending you’ve got it all figured out.
it’s about sharing the real process: the experiments, the setbacks, and the lessons you’re learning along the way. people are drawn to authenticity, not perfection. when you open up about what you’re actually working through, you invite others to see themselves in your journey.
you become a “niche of one” by letting people see your perspective and your progress. that’s what draws the right people in and gives your work meaning beyond just numbers or metrics. when you show up as yourself, you attract those who resonate with your worldview and your way of solving problems.
your story becomes the bridge that brings others along for the ride.
you are the niche.
your vision.
the problems you choose to solve
your projects
your priorities
the story you share
this is what sets you apart.
this is how you create a “niche of one”
being transparent, authentic, and impossible to copy.
don’t overthink it.
start now.
